Landing

40 years ago the world was changed. My parents waited for hours in front of separate television sets to see Neil Armstrong walk on the moon.

To me, it's strange to think that at one time we only looked up at the stars, that we hadn't yet traveled into space. I grew up watching Star Trek, the moonwalk far behind us in our history. It doesn't seem that amazing that we could have put a man on the moon though I'm sure at the time it seemed fantastical.

Unfortunately I was nowhere to be seen during the moon landing. Where were you?

I still wasn't even a thought in my parents' heads. And I'm sure they're glad...
