The TBR Challenge

Okay so I have a problem with lists. I have a weakness for them and I've just found another challenge to take part in that will involve reading books.

This is the To Be Read Challenge that involves reading one book a month for the next year. this is a good way to space things out.

So here's my list and there will be some cross over from my Classics Challenge.

1) Beowulf
2) Feast for Crows - George R R Martin
3) The Three Musketeers - Alexandre Dumas
4) The Prince - Nicolai Machiavelli
5) The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas
6) Catch 22 - Joseph Heller
7) The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Victor Hugo
8) Rebecca - Daphne du Maurier
9) The Republic - Plato
10) Julius Caesar - Will Shakespeare
11) Kidnapped - Robert Louis Stevenson
12) A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens

Hey -- I did see your comment, yesterday, about wanting to join in on the TBR Challenge -- so you've been added to the list. :o)

Thanks!

Wow, ALL are classics! I'm thinking the five I've chosen for the classics challenge are likely to do me in. I'm looking forward to some lighter reading by the end of Feb, but you are just going to keep plowing ahead. Good for you.

They just happened to be on my list. I'm trying to polish off the classics because I want to be a writer and I should know what I'm doing. So I'm reading the greats of the writing world to get an idea of how they did it.

#5 is one of my all-time favourites. #9 I found to be fairly challenging reading. I've also read #3, #7, #8, and #12. A great list!
