Reading:As it's the spooky month of the year, I'm now on to "Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier. Did you know she also wrote "The Birds" which Hitchcock also turned into a movie? I know the basic story having watched Joan Fontaine and Laurence Olivier in the starring roles. Here's hoping the book is even better!
Thinking:
Have you ever heard of a Sadie Hawkins dance where the girls ask the boys to dance? Who exactly was Sadie Hawkins and did she pioneer this type of school/barn dance?
Watching:
"The Big Bang Theory" is one of my favourite shows on tv. It follows two uber geek prodigies, Sheldon and Leonard who live across the hall from Penny, a waitress/wannabee actress. It's not only funny, it's smart. I love the geekiness and naivete of Sheldon (my favourite!). In this season's premier, watch him talk about Batman.
Listening:
This is a clip of music from "The Good the Bad and the Ugly". If you've never seen the film I highly recommend it. It's one of the spaghetti westerns made by Sergio Leone and was pretty much the last gasp of the western on the big screen. Ennio Morricone is the composer here and he's one of my favourite movie composers.
Also, I'd like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Up here in Canada we're celebrating our annual turkey fest.

As always, I'm going to skip right past the higher culture and go straight to the low-brow stuff. The Big Bang Theory - I'm worried that with this new series they're going to focus on Sheldon too much, cos he's obviously the bets character, and overexpose him so we're not interested in him anymore. Thoughts?
The girl who plays Penny is getting stronger and stronger as a character with each episode, though.
Focusing on Sheldon would be a problem because I think it's the combination of the cast that makes this show so great. The latest episode has more of a focus on Raj which I like.
