On this date, 80 years ago, "Steamboat Willy", the first Mickey Mouse cartoon premiered in New York. I'd say he looks pretty good for an octogenarian. And at least he wears pants unlike some well-known ducks who think they're sailors. *nudge nudge wink wink* Though I've never understood the whole glove "thing". Is Mickey a germaphobe or what? You'll notice here that Mickey is sans gloves so perhaps it's a condition he developed over the years.

Happy 80th Mickey!
