The Sunday Rundown

Reading:First of all, Happy Solstice and Happy Father's Day everyone!

I finished "A Separate Peace" a few days ago and enjoyed it. Some parts of the book were immensely satisfying but I was looking for more detail and description in terms of the setting. I got a full description of the school's layout but I always felt like I was on the outside of the story looking in instead of being fully immersed.

Watching:

I'm a big fan of webcomics and decided to share this gem with you as I have an affection for the weird and wonderful. To that end I'd like to share 42 Essential 3rd Act Plot Twists from Dresden Codak. My personal favourite is "Amnesiac Villain Kidnaps Self".

Listening:

I'm featuring The Stills again. They always have interesting music videos, somewhat like Travis. This Canadian band out of Montreal is fast becoming a favourite of mine. Enjoy "I'm With You".

I read A Separate Peace in high school, and I remember it being very formative for that year. The year after we read the Pearl S. Buck's The Good Earth though, and that one took the cake for most influential.
It may have helped that we read both books very slowly, in small increments for every class. That will definitely place you inside a book, whether you want to be there or not. *smile*
