I'm trying to work my way through
"Brideshead Revisited" and came across the word: footle.
I liked the word so much but I had no idea what it meant. So I decided to make a photo collage.
It could be a type of cookie, a nickname for a baby lamb, an archaic tool, a small purse, a baby's foot. What do you think it means?

Good question... you know, without googling it I'd have to guess it is an archaic tool. Or wait, maybe a lamb? Or... well, I have to admit I don't know this word!
Okay, and you know what is strange? My word verification word was FOTTLES!
Ha Ha!
Apparently it means one of two things.
1. To waste time; trifle
2. To talk nonsense
I'm always coming across strange words in books and end up having to look them up.
