The Sunday Rundown

It feels like months since I posted one of these! Since my last 'Rundown' I've been reading quite a bit and surfing the interwebs.

Reading

I'm currently still plowing through "The Star Machine" but I'm also still trying to make my way through "Les Miserables". If I can't finish this I think I should give up any hope of reading Proust. I'm also continuing with the Alexander Kent series in "Sloop of War". They're far more readable than Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series.

Watching:

If you didn't know already, I'm a big fan of the Muppets and found this hilarious mashup.

Listening:

Speaking of mashups, I found this delectable song last week and had to share it with you. Enjoy!

I just read Master and Commander and found it amazing, so these books must be really good! I picked up the second book in the Aubrey Maturin series the other day and am really looking forward to getting through my current reading and starting it.

Absolutely love the Muppets. Grew up with them and have not stopped being a fan. That Henson 11 thing is great, thanks for posting that. Cracks me up AND makes me want to go and rewatch all the Muppet movies.

If you like the Aubrey/Maturin books then you might enjoy the movie. It mashes up several plots from the books but is exciting with great performances by Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany.

I've been thinking about trying to track down a copy of "The Great Muppet Caper". I always sniggered when they mentioned the 'baseball diamond'.
